The menu lists three conﬁ guration modes:

• Auto Conﬁ guration automatically creates an optimal conﬁ guration from the

available disk drives.

• Manual Conﬁ guration gives you the greatest level of control in creating a new

virtual disk.

• Guided Conﬁ guration asks you a few simple questions about what kind of conﬁ g-

uration you want and then automatically creates it from the available disk drives.

Note: You can use Auto, Guided, or Manual mode to create a RAID 0, or RAID

1 conﬁ guration. To create a RAID 10 conﬁ guration, you must use the Manual

Conﬁ guration mode.
